Special Terms for Direct To Account Services

DIRECT TO ACCOUNT SERVICES: Where available, these services, which include Direct to Bank and Mobile Money Transfer Services (“Services”), allow You to credit the bank, mobile wallet (“MWallet”) or other financial services account (“Account”) of a designated recipient (“Receiver”). The Account provider may impose additional fees on the Receiver for receiving the funds into an Account. The Account provider may convert the funds at its own exchange rate or reject a Service transaction if the funds are not sent in the Receiver’s local currency. The Receiver’s agreement with their Account provider governs the Receiver’s rights, liabilities, and Account fees (including fees to transfer cash out of an Account) and the Account provider may impose its own restrictions regarding funds availability, limits that may be transferred to or held in Accounts, hours of operations, holidays or other Account limitations (“Restrictions”). In most cases, the Receiver must be enrolled in the Account program in order to receive a Service transaction. A Receiver who is not enrolled in an Account program may be able receive funds from a Service transaction at a Western Union Agent location and may be subject to additional requirements. Your Service transaction will be considered complete when Western Union pays it to the Account provider, who will either credit it to the Receiver’s account, or in certain cases where allowed by applicable law, may hold the funds until the Receiver enrolls into an Account program. The Account provider is responsible for crediting the Account designated by You. In the event of an inconsistency between the Account number (including mobile phone numbers for MWallet Accounts) and name of the Receiver, the transfer will be credited to the Account number provided by You. Western Union may make money from fees associated with use of an Account. Western Union accepts no responsibility to You, nor to any Account holder, for any fees not specifically related to the remittance transfer, exchange rates used for conversion to non-local currency and not specifically related to the remittance transfer, acts or omissions of the destination or intermediary financial service providers. Subject to Restrictions, transfers to Accounts generally take 3 business days, but depending on the Account, may be available within minutes. Immediately contact Western Union at the address or telephone number listed below if the amount credited to the designated Account is less than the amount to be paid designated on the transaction receipt.

TRACKING: Tracking of a direct to account service transaction is generally not available through Western Union. You or the Receiver may make a tracking inquiry directly with the Account provider, which may charge a fee for the inquiry.

REFUNDS. PRINCIPAL REFUNDS and cancellation of a direct to Account Service transaction will generally be made if the Receiver’s Account has not been credited when Western Union processes Your written request for a refund. Principal refunds may be subject to additional fees and/or currency exchange rates (if applicable) imposed by the Account provider and/or Western Union. PRINCIPAL REFUNDS MAY NOT BE AVAILABLE IF AN ACCOUNT OTHER THAN THE RECEIVER’S ACCOUNT IS CREDITED DUE TO INCORRECT, INCOMPLETE OR ILLEGIBLE INFORMATION PROVIDED BY YOU. TRANSFER FEE REFUNDS are generally made if funds are not credited to the designated Account within 3 banking business days, subject to Restrictions, and except to the extent caused by (i) conditions beyond the control of Western Union or its Agents or the Account provider, such as telecommunications failure, (ii) incorrect, incomplete or illegible information provided by You; or (iii) if Your money transfer causes the Receiver to exceed any Account limit.
